If you want white.. min is 6000k.

I was very tempted to convert to HID as well, but I learned that besides the cost I learned that LTA has very strict rules these days for after market upgrade. Moreover, the installer shop told me that some modification is required in order to house the xenon lamp; part of the protector cover has to be cut & shave.

Since the xenon ballast only consume 35w compare to halogen 55w; surely the car computer will display a fault. Therefore additional electronic components are needed to fool the system, as a result many unknowns will follow in the future.

Final decision I upgraded the halogen lamps to Philips X-treme and it is brighter than stock and cheaper too. 8-)

i think lower wattage no prob.. its higher then system will detect a fault. I changed the parking lights to white LED only to have the system asking me constantly to check front lights.

As for HID fault.. a decoder is necc if fault is detected. It will cost around 60 for the decoder.
